Spooky Season Pregame and Countdown to the ‘Bers!
August has arrived and that means that the Spooky Season shenanigans can begin! On the fifth of July I began posting, well reposting all sorts of memes about spooky season beginning at 11:59 after the last fireworks go off. I was ready, but I couldn’t 100% get behind it before our family beach vacation. We did do a haunted walk-through on the boardwalk though, and that was fun, but it was still summer and the thermostat confirmed it. Skip ahead a couple of weeks and here we are August! Sure enough the memes started again and guess what I am ready!
Now how do I plan on celebrating? What do I plan on doing this year? Well, that is the tricky part. Actually it is not too tricky, it’s just a matter of doing. I would like to slow down this year and enjoy the season and the lead up to it. I want to take the time to actually look at the spooky decorations that stores are offering this year. I want to try and make several trips to Spirit Halloween and just take it all in. I of course want to over indulge on horror movies with a focus on ones that have that fall, almost “cozy” vibe. Ultimately I want to try and recreate the feelings of Halloween past. Okay, maybe that is the tricky part, chasing a time that no longer exists.
Aside from literally chasing a ghost of the past, I have also decided to take this time to focus on my content. From YouTube to podcasts, blogs to social media posts, the upcoming ‘ber months are going to be my path to growth. Growth in my content, and growth in my personal life. I have so many goals I want to achieve by 2027, that this year I can’t cram everything into November and December, it needs to start NOW! No more procrastinating, no more excuses. Just action. This post right now is part of that action. I may not be the strongest wordsmith right now, but with a little practice I’ll get there.
Maybe I am biting off more than I can chew, but maybe, just maybe this is what I need. Whatever the case, I do hope that you come along for this journey, even if it is just to hold me accountable. I am not getting any younger, but I still have a lot of life left, Lord willing. So buckle up, lock in and lets cruise into the ‘ber months and have the spookiest, successful, SPOOKY SEASON and year end!
